Boxing is more than a sport. It’s a science, an art, and a way of life. You will gain confidence, unimaginable strength, resiliency, and tools to find clarity in chaos. You never have to step into a ring and compete if you don't want to, but if and when that day comes, you will have all the necessary conditioning and skills to do so.
Arielle carries on the legacy of the Rude Rockers (pronounced ”Rudy”) in honor of Hall of Fame coach, Raymond “Monk” Romero and her coach, Bobby Carrillo (a Rude Rocker and Colorado Golden Gloves Champion).
“Raymond ‘Monk’ Romero had a brief amateur boxing career, but his coaching abilities have him recognized as one of the best in Colorado amateur boxing history. He is the ‘Father of Rude Park Boxing’ claiming that title after the ‘RUDE ROCKERS’ accumulated some 10 Colorado Golden Gloves Team Championships between the years 1975-1991 with his teams acknowledged as well-disciplined, respectful, and well conditioned by experts across the country being his proudest achievement.” (Stephen Johnson, INSIDE BOXING.COM
Coach Arielle is currently on maternity leave! Andrés, MarySue, and Sebastian are all certified USA Boxing Coaches and the newest members of Lace Up’s coaching staff.

Bobby has forgotten more about boxing than most will ever know. He is considered the silent partner. Arielle has taken over the face of boxing in Aspen, but Bobby remains the brains of the operation. Boxing became a part of Bobby's life at 7 years old. His last fight was at age 49. His coaching career began in 1993. He was the last fighter/coach in Colorado until Arielle. His accumulation of boxing knowledge, skills, and life lessons are now shared with Lace Up - the legacy team of the Rude Rockers.
Lace up
Don’t give up
Wake up to the dawn and rise up;
Rise up to the challenges of the day
Cuz a challenge is an invitation, not a time to walk away.
Lace up
Now show up
Take a breath and get up;
Cuz it’s not how many times you get knocked down,
It’s how many times you stand up.
Lace up
And brace up
Welcome the fear and the pain;
These drive the dream, the vision, the will,
Within suffering we determine our gains.
Lace up
And break up
With foolish ego and pride;
These divide real character from critic
It’s with humility the champion thrives.
